Emma Di Bernardo is a young adult writer from Queensland, Australia. She works as a special education and secondary teacher while writing when she can. She is passionate about disability and chronic pain advocacy, queer youth and mental health awareness.
Emma’s non-fiction work has been published at Disability in Kidlit and the Undergraduate Journal of Whedon Studies. She was the editor of the University of Queensland’s Women’s Collective’s independent zine ‘Wom*news’ for three years. Emma has presented two lectures for the non-profit organisation One Woman Project, in 2014 and 2016 respectively.
